Just ate a container of
Lao Ban tau huey (beancurd) at the ungodly hour of 230am!! Gonna get crazy fat from having no discipline at all >_<
Anyways, just wanna share that it is truly the best jelly kinda tau huey in singapore right now :D I also had happy boy tau huey, which is located next to lao ban, and found it to taste ok. But that was BEFORE I taste lao ban! That one compared to lao ban is really too watery, uneven and taste just rather too bland ( it was mango flavored). Perhaps it is not as nice partly due to not chilling it beforehand but can tell the quality difference.
Anyways the lao ban which I just had is. Really. Damn. Smoothhhh *ahhhh* and is just the right sweetness for me (not too bland) plus it isn't too watery ^^ I chilled it before eating and it really helps e flavor alot too ^^
Here's Lao Ban and next to it is Happyboy (green labels) original is $1.50 almond flavor is $2
Lao Ban:

2) Maxwell Food Centre #01-91
Hmm i realised $1.50 of lao ban is much more satisfying than $8.50 of
k ki cake which I also had this afternoon :( mayb i need to eat the famous ones to truly appreciate k ki :/ We got there at about 4pm and there was only these 2 left. There was also no seats available but the guy was kind enough to let us leave contacts and call us when there's seats available (: so ups for the service! and he called us pretty soon too!
K Ki
7 Ann Siang Hill #01-00
Fromage Melon $8.50: Not bad! v light cheese mousse with melon inside and outside. love the biscuit but outwise I'm not a big melon fan haha
Chocolate something $7: this one is really not worth paying $7 for ): it is just very dry and not outstanding to me. The guy did mention this is flourless/ eggless (?) didnt listen carefully but I guess that's why ):
kays, maybe I should go back to K Ki earlier and try the other more famous cakes haha
