Jb day trip with Val / 2:01 AM
Went with only Val to JB!!
Why?
Because this mimi, she forsake friends over love =.=
But, I forgive her because it's a one-on-one date and I know it's her first, plus is with her crush!
I wish I can go on a date with my crush too..
HL had to go back early on sat for her aunt dinner and she's kinda afraid to go back alone so..
left me and val only.. we were initially worried how safe is it to go JB with just the 2 of us too but everything turned out OK ^^
Anyway for future reference and for noobs like me and val,
Here's how to get to JB from Singapore!
Basically, only 3 buses go to JOHOR BAHRU checkpoint

170X (direct from kranji to Kotaraya II ter)

You can take 950 from WOODLANDS bus interchange
Or take 170/ 160 from opp KRANJI Station
170 actually comes to my house at Little India Station then goes pass Bukit Timah then go to Woodlands then Kranji then JB. You can check the bus guide to see where it stops and actually get up the bus earlier (:
anyway, me and val met at Woodlands to take 950
It seems the frequency of 950 and 160 are very low
cos we keep seeing 170 buses coming but the other 2 come only after 2 or 3 170 came =.=
Reached JB quite fast on a Sat Morning and we decided to be adventurous!
I read on a blog that you can take a bus to KSL City Mall directly below the customs
so after changing money near the customs (Sharon said cheaper to change in JB)
HAPPY, that day's rate : 2.412
To get to KSL Mall
Bus: S1
Frequency: 20mins
Cost: RM 1.50 (must have exact cash)
Time: 15mins ride
We tried to find S1 directly below the customs, but it was the wrong bus terminal, cos there's actually 2 bus terminals and the correct one is below the customs but not the nearest one,
Gotta cross over a bridge and take the escalator down. We were kinda worried cos heard frequency for the bus was 20mins, but it wasn't so bad actually, because the bus waits at the terminal and you can just get up. Was rather embarrassed by a Singaporean Auntie who kept complaining about having to pay money to get to KSL.

The mall really quite big! Inside got Tesco, fashion shops, some nail parlors and hair salons
We went to level 2 and val did classic mani and pedi at RM60
and I did my hair at RM45
Pretty cheap especially with that day's rate ^^
My hair service was not bad! always like people to massage me when washing my hair =p
Was rather scared when I had to leave my bag to wash hair but luckily nothing bad happen
Here's my new hair! Got auntie ask me where I did my hair somemore hahha
There's naruto car inside KSL tt day! Looks like the car won alot of awards
We decided to eat just snacks then head back City Sq for early dinner
Bought this outside my hair salon
Some Potato cheese thing! we chose smoked chicken (: rm 6.90
Pizza in a cup!! This is super yumms! pizza crust is crispy and the meat is hot and tender with lots of cheeeezzzeee. Got "liao" all the way to the end ((: Rm 7.90
There's actually Shilin there and alot of taiwanese bubble tea shop there haha
Walked around all the floors and the clothes didnt really catch our fancy =/
looks like those clothes from Bugis Junction actually
and the nicer ones are way too ex RM99 or smt =.=
Sharon said there's nice shoes there.. well not alot of shoe shops and those selling were around S$20+.. we didnt buy anything
Finally found a nice shop at ground level and I bought a nice black bag (RM39.90) from there (:
Wanted to buy a dress at RM29.90 from the same shop too but on closer inspection, there's a small hole on it ):
Finally bought some snacks and visited Tesco (smaller than I thought) then went back outside to take S1 back to city sq. Just Board from where you got off and pay the same amount of cash can already (:
Back at City Sq, had a good time at FOS and val got herself a pair of pants

KSL also has FOS but it's much smaller than the one at City Sq
Val found out about this street nearby call MELDRUM WALK
and we decided to head there for dinner
We kinda got lost cos Val's direction was to walk towards Singapore and we kept walking in a circle inside City Sq (kept ending up back at the cosmetic area)
later, we found out there's actually a linkway directly to Meldrum Walk from City Sq

Just find Pappa Rich restaurant, exit from there and walk across a linkway bridge, get down and you will be at Meldrum Walk
Val said there's famous Kway Teow there but we saw around 3 stalls selling them, so not very sure which is the famous one...

It's actually 3 blocks of small alleyway of Food Stalls. The first stretch was full of Malay food and people. The 2nd stretch was full of Chinese and the third nothing much. We settled at the 2nd haha
Alot of stalls selling seafood displayed like that with some ice on it. the popular one was the big pink fish

our Kway Teow!! taste like the Indo style ones. I prefer sg style ones which are sweeter. RM3.50
CRayfish! haha always tot it was cLayfish.. not v fresh and v small le! RM 11. should have gotten the big pink fish.. around Rm19 but alot more meat and looks delicious T_T

Walked around abit more till 8pm and got some cakes from Secret Recipe
Ate the cake today and found plastics inside my cake =.= and got abit of diarrhea..
Dont think I will buy from there anymore =.=
Anyway, the customs and bus terminal were not crowded when we went back around that time, so it's good ((:
