dragon emperor n journey to center of earth review / 9:17 AM
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!!!
damn, i had actually wanted to write this post on 080808 since its such a rare day! once in 100 yrs le!!
lol, o well, i jus gotta wait for 090909 next yr lor =D
watched 2 movies this wk, both main is Brendon Fraser
not tt i love him, it jus happens i lik action movies n these 2 r e only ones left on e rack, since i watched batman n red cliff alr =X
MUMMY - TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR
went to watch this wif jamie n pearl
hmm, i guess it's best to go into e cinema expecting the worst?
lol, tt had definately worked for me
as wif expectations, once its exceeded, it gives a shiok feeling =D
it's not horrible, it's jus kinda cliche.
it lacks twist, the element of surprise
and the pace of the movie is too fast lor, i can hardly digest the developments
hmm, n i did expected smt more for the battle of the undeads, but focus was more on fight wif the mummy emperor
n i can think a million and one ways e emperor can actually win e battle
-he can jus freeze/ burn the whole general ming's army
-he can turn into the big fire breathing dragon, fly into the sky and drop crush the general ming's army OR jus breath fire n burn them!!
-n he can control 5 elements i tot? lik hardly use lor! if it's cliche, score on e effects n visuals! metal flying by, ice shooting by, fire blazing by blah blah
-he can also change to CHINESE dragon* can control water*! y is e dragon so ang mo pai?? the whole theme is chinese isnt it? then y there's more ang mo in e bars??
-n y is the emperor death posture so diff from e one he's awaken in?! if it's a twist, dont cheat the process!!
-he shld hav changed more forms too! it's really ok to b flashy since its action. his 2 alternate forms doesnt say much of his shape shifting abilities le!
n it cant b hard to kill 2 puny humans lor >_>
anyway, we all agreed it's not TOO bad for action movie
at least it's gd brainless ride
*and some irritating uncle sitting next to pearl kp making weird laughing sound >_>
i turned to look at pearl several times to give her a sympathetic face,
she does attract e weirdest pple*
*did anyone realise he mummified having moustach? but when he awaken, look so young n NO MOUSTACH!!*

since it's e first of the movie *unlik mummy*, i dont really noe wad to expect also
so i guess it's easier to score on e element of surprise (tho e poster alr said alot)
lol, the teenager boy v funny, lynn made alot of funny sounds laughing =D
the pace is decent n lik alot of reviews say it's lik a themepark! *omg, e railway*
hehe, not greatest but not bad also
better than mummy i daresay
today.. OOPS, i mean ytd is RAG DAY!
went super early cos ah boon e ogl told me to go early
n i promised him i'll b early cos i was caught escaping
diao, waited from 9 to 1130 then e show start
at first there's super alot of pple n i cld NOT see anything
but luckily, more and more pple start leaving, dont noe go where also
so moved forward to a clearer view progressively =D
